The State of Things The term [Pharmacy] in the current US/ local landscape could be better substituted with the language- "hit or miss, some struggle, but how much this time and, am I gonna make it out..was it easier in Laos?" Bob J's was not this when I found them, after a continuous conveyor of clusterfuchery between Safeway & Walgreens that would make both Saturday Night Live and A Clockwork Orange blush. It's 2 things: 1) Per the US-way, Pharmacy staff are ridiculously overworked, in tight surroundings and with dissociative support at best from upper Mgmt; 2) They rep the place and should at least try (because I am on your side) in terms of explanation or facial affect- or rather, just hold it down until you get out that day and leave another day. = Bob's has been efficient, updates are timely (kind of feel sorry for the brother here who appeared to give a 1-Star rating literally for a generic text birthday greeting- more going on under the surface here) and I have spent the last 6 months kissing their bottoms just feeling lucky I am out of previous shenanigans. Staff at counter are firstly semi-drowning as a baseline, some with more overt personality, while other's flat- but expediting and that is the game. _____ Yesterday, I received text notice Re a med that was waiting, I went over, there was more than one med and I was told to come back in15 minutes. This is really no problem, as I get lost in my own city on a regular basis and surely this would be no different in going to USPS for Muhammad Ali stamps. = Check mark on the former (!), and upon returning 45 minutes later to a now packed house: 'we are checking the order, please have a seat'; later, a lady asked if I was in line and I stated, 'I don't even know'- as I just had gotten another text noting the med is ready; staff at far end with a bit of an Frankenstein affect then looked at me and yelled haltingly- 'You, your order us up!'; I tried to make small talk- no, pushed the bag to me etc and then yelled 'NEXT!'; and= what had become a now 1.5 hr trip- yielded no closure as mister Hard did not put the med in the bag. It reminds of the dude in Roosevelt Safeway who forever wears local sports hats, now working in the booze cluster I think, but another trait you try to look at as local culture- negativity comes, almost hilariously up from just under the surface, but it's not personal- jjust, 'the god damn system and this job!' ha. This felt personal Bob, and whether it was or not- it gave me an extra 90 minutes with a brain injury in this ongoing, static derby race that is now Seatown traffic. Re the stress of a pharmacy setting- I really don't care, I had a clinical population of 60 adults in regular decompensation and again- you just hold it down. As I think reflects in breadth here, I am currently not working, in treatment and apparently pretty lonely to drag on as such. It is also notable that I should have checked the bag, but there were a total of 3 meds and I expect it's not too much for the very man working on them to also be aware. Either way, the experience yesterday just brought the other flat affects, long lines and claustrophobic milieu into more focus. I have de facto become a pharmacy migrator- thank you for your time, I got it from here and I hope Cascadia Pharm doesn't disappoint. Update: Concluded my 2 day trip through 85th traffic to have closure and P/u the prescript: Same dude, loud, but positive in line w/ customer next to me. He had to have heard from staff yesterday, had to have seen me &- appeared more than happy to have sent me a message. For what I don't know and while I am erring on the relative- life petty, feels good to be outta there. They have good beer in Laos*/ TK
The BEST pharmacy I've encountered in any city. So organized and professional. My RXs are always ready on time. Such a joy to have found them. They're a rare gem in this world of corporate medicine.
Every other pharmacy: “no, we will never have that medication in stock, we won’t even try to order” Bob Johnson’s: “let me check the manufacturers website…great. We will have it in for you tomorrow and filled.” This pharmacy is the best. I don’t know why or how you all do it when no other pharmacy can, but y’all rock.
I love Bob Johnsons!! They are just the best! Walgreens was my go to and it was such a pain in the but to get a hold of anyone or figure out if a prescription is ready to pick up! I love that you can easily reach someone there and everything is super easy!! I love them!! I never write reviews but wanted to for this fine business!!
Always friendly and very efficient. Sometimes there’s a line out the door at peak times but I’ve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. I have a lot of respect for what these folks do especially with a few pharmacies closing and the increased workload. so don’t hesitate to send your prescriptions here!!
