Fairley's Pharmacy Inc

Fairley’s is a fun old-fashioned soda fountain (and popular pharmacy) that’s great for bringing kids to. I brought my ten year old for the first time today to grab a shake and sit at their antique counter. My son loved the choices of shakes and decided on one with Oreo ice cream. It was absolutely delicious!! We were both commenting after every sip. Yum!! They make Italian sodas, phosphate soda (I don’t think I’ve ever had one), coffee drinks and floats. And you can spin on the counter seats while you reminisce about the old days and enjoy your wonderful drink.

For years I've accepted subpar service from corporate pharmacies due to the fact that I receive OHP insurance and thinking that I didn't have options for better service but was proven wrong during my very first trip to Fairley's! I love that I can support locally owned and operated on top of receiving service that by far exceeded any of my expectations. On my 1st trip I wasn't sure what to expect but as I walked in, the vibe itself was very nostalgic and friendly. There were two people in line ahead of me and still it only took a few minutes before I was face-to-face with a kind blonde girl smiling behind the counter. My doctor had sent in the prescription maybe 20 minutes before I had arrived and thought for sure I would be told to come back later. Instead she told me that I would have about a 5-minute wait, which was a pleasant surprise. I took a seat at the cute little soda fountain bar and waited for my name to be called which was probably less than 5 minutes. I was prepared to give my insurance card, ID, Etc, but surprisingly only asked to verify my address, name and birthdate because they had done all the hard work for me. I had already had this medication before so I knew what to expect, but she made it very clear that they were willing to answer any questions I may have. She was so friendly and gave me service unlike any past experiences I've had at big box stores. I wasn't rushed, I had her full attention and I left feeling good about the entire interaction which I honestly didnt know was even a possibility. My only regret is spending so much time feeling frustrated over literally every single experience I've ever had at the Safeway pharmacy on Sandy which was always exhausting. If you are like me and have accepted poor service due to feeling limited in options, just know that you deserve better and that you DO have options. And to be clear, they do accept OHP so don't let your insurance make you feel limited either. Thank you Fairley's for changing the game!

As a newcomer to Portland, I am eager to support local businesses in my new neighborhood, but my experience at Fairley’s Pharmacy was very disappointing. The staff I encountered—both on the phone and in person—were incredibly short and dismissive. Beyond the poor customer service, I was surprised to find that they don't stock many common medications. I've had to wait several days just to get standard refills processed. I really wanted to love this local spot, but the lack of professionalism and efficiency makes it hard to recommend.

I love Fairley's so incredibly much. I went to so many other pharmacies for so long (Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS) and at every turn could not get a hold of a human to speak to, had to wait in line for hours to pick up medicine for my kids, or (in some cases) showed up to the pharmacy only to find that they had closed due to low staffing and had not even notified me. Fairley's is the answer to all of these issues. They refill meds promptly, I have never had to wait in line, I can speak to someone on the phone in seconds, and are always friendly and courteous when I go to pick up. They have made my life so much easier!

I did everythign possible to try and support this small pharmacy! They left me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. From missed orders costing more money out of pocket, to very poor communication, to flat out disrepectful behaviour and on top of it they felt the need to laugh about my misfortune that was a result of their poor service. This all happened over a period of several months, so not one isolated event. No more! I cannot support or recoemmend this company.
