I’ve been using compounded cream for hormone replacement therapy for many years now. My previous doctors always gave me a prescription and allowed me to choose a pharmacy. I then would pay the pharmacy for my prescription. Herzog doesn’t allow this, they charge you directly in the doctor’s office and then they contact the pharmacy and have them mail you the prescription. Herzog charged me $150 for one bottle, one month’s supply medication. This is double what I paid anywhere else. I then went to a different doctor and got a written prescription for the same exact medication, took it to the same pharmacy that Herzog uses, it was $115 for THREE bottles. I’m glad I went with my intuition. Patient beware.

Updated: I have switched from this office to a different hormone doctor due to the high cost of prescriptions here. I did not realize how much I was overpaying until I did some cost comparisons. They explained it as the cost of doing business. But some meds were over double the cost they pay the pharmacy for. A great team! From my first call with Amy to my meeting with Michelle Storm today and Shancia. Booking was easy. Ms. Storm spent so much time going over labs and questions and options for me. They were all so patient with me. So very glad I found this office.
