I am very disappointed with my experience. I noticed some negative reviews online beforehand, but chose to move forward and give this office the benefit of the doubt since I was hoping I could receive the care I needed. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing as well and in-line with some of the other negative reviews. After my consultation, I tried to proceed the next day with a six month membership since I was told that was the only way I could continue to be seen and coordinate getting new labs done. I reached out a few times via text and phone to understand where I could do my labs, if I could get the order etc, communication was slow and unclear. Communication was good up until post-consult, it felt like a bait and switch. They told me they didn't get my call and a few of my texts (that is a system issue, not my fault as a patient and I shared with them my screenshots). I was frustrated that it was so hard to get clear answers and labs coordinated. I finally heard back and was offered an apology and told they hope I find care elsewhere instead of a simple solution or a call. This felt like an abrupt "go look somewhere else for care" instead of a solution to get my questions answered and proceed. It felt disrespectful of the time I spent to take off work, go see the Dr for the consult, and spend the 30min consultation fee of $400+. It's only after mentioning that I would leave a review that I was given a solution to continue care and received calls. I do believe the dr to be nice in person, I can't speak to the care because I never got it. But for a place that is supposed to help me lower my stress and take care of myself, being told to find a different provider and having to chase an office for simple answers around lab orders felt ironically even more stressful. They broke my trust as a patient. I hope they take this feedback and improve their front office practices and patient communication, because what is the point of good care if you can't trust to be communicated with a clear process, and avoid glitchy systems and abrupt answers.
Started with promise… but turned into a deeply frustrating experience... I was so hopeful when I booked with Dr. Cho. I loved the idea of working with someone who blends both Western & Eastern approaches. I had returned from a big trip and was feeling depleted. Her philosophy seemed like a great fit—integrative, personalized, rooted in bloodwork but offering holistic tools. The first session went well, and I felt optimistic. Unfortunately, things started to unravel almost immediately after that. The following week, I received multiple messages about virtual appointments that I never scheduled—each one saying a session was happening that day and warning of cancellation fees. I had to keep replying that I had not booked these sessions. Then, when I actually had a real, confirmed virtual appointment, Dr. Cho didn’t show up. I called the office repeatedly (during business hours) but couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Later, she replied via email saying she believed I told the office I wasn’t scheduling sessions. That didn’t make sense, as in that same thread—sent just days before—she attached my labs & referenced our upcoming session. I replied in email explaining my frustrations, but that I wanted to continue working together—she never responded. The next step was coordinating NAD shots by mail. The process was slow and disorganized. I had to follow up multiple times and received brief replies when what I needed was clarity. (How long is shipping? Are the shots sent on ice? Shipping cost?) We easily lost over a week trying to coordinate something that should have been simple. At one point I was told the confusion was due to my change of address, but the real issue was their poor communication & lack of follow-through. At my (rescheduled) lab review appointment, Dr. Cho again didn’t show up. After several calls to the office, someone finally answered and said she was with another patient. She eventually joined late. During the session, she stepped away, then returned and said, “I’m happy to go ahead and just… I’m not going to count that as time. I’m going to go ahead and send you a summary.” But after, my card on file was charged. I asked for a refund based on what was said. Dr. Cho responded that there was no record of that in the AI-generated file and that time is only counted from when we are actively meeting online. She said she’d tried calling me but she hadn’t left any voicemail. At one point she wrote, “I’m fully aware that phone call is not easy for you,” as if I were the issue—ignoring how many times I’d tried and failed to reach her office. I preferred to keep things in writing here, I had recorded the session myself and sent a clip clearly capturing what she had said. She never responded. During the lab review, her tone was strikingly dramatic. She said my progesterone was “dangerously low,” without acknowledging the test was taken pre-ovulation, when that’s naturally the case. She later claimed her plan would give me so much energy that I’d “barely notice” when my period came. That felt like a false promise. Women are cyclical beings. Dismissing that felt reductive & unrealistic. She flagged high cortisol levels—something I’d sensed for a while—and while it was validating to see, her suggestion was a CBD supplement. It felt overly simplistic, especially given the complexity of nervous system dysregulation. When I asked if any of her recommendations might be covered by insurance, her tone shifted. She said “this isn’t covered because it’s integrative medicine,” but if I really wanted, she could give me prescription versions. I clarified I don't take prescriptions - haven't in over a decade. Yet when I received the plan it included prescriptions like hormonal birth control. It felt like she wasn’t listening. Despite initial promise of integrative, holistic medicine--the experience was marked by poor communication, inconsistent follow-through, & a lack of attunement. The drama, dismissiveness, & gaslighting left me feeling frustrated and unseen.
Dr. Cho is amazing!!! I have been to four other doctors and this is the first time I’ve left feeling good. I actually gave her a hug on my way out. She is very attentive. She spent a lot of time reviewing my test results and talking about my history. I look forward to working with her on my tailored health plan.
Dr. Cho's holistic approach to healing and treating is incomparable to any physician I have encountered. She takes the time to get to know not just your medical history, but your life history and present emotional well-being to determine the best treatment methods for you. It is clear that she doesn't just glance at your chart from the last visit but analyzes and studies the progress of the treatment she has prescribed in order to continue the best possible care. She truly listens to your health concerns and not only prescribes the necessary care, she explains and educates you in a manner where you walk out of her office truly feeling like you have been given the best care and concern not only by her but also by her friendly and professional staff. As a Forbes Health Advisory Board Member she is always up to date on the latest medical studies and treatments and I trust her knowledge and insights regarding the medical field. She is always available and easy to to contact and any concern you have is addressed in the most efficient and timely manner. I highly recommend her if you are seeking an intelligent and caring medical professional who treats you with the greatest dignity and respect especially when you are dealing with one of the most important aspects of your life, your health.
Dr. Cho's approach is very unique and comprehensive. I've been bouncing on different Drs that could not give me a clear answer to my symptoms and after a couple of tests Dr Cho got to a very clear diagnosis. She is great and so it is her staff.
