The staff is extremely helpful. As a newly diagnosed diabetic, they explained how to use the medications, consulted with my insurance to find the best options for my plan, and have been overall outstanding regarding patient care. I'm very happy I tried a small business instead of the transactional experiences I had at Kroger, CVS and Walmart.
Good news: The pharmacists and technicians are pleasant and patient. Parking always available, and there's a USPS postal box out front. This is also Hill's Compounding Pharmacy, so they're a great option if you need a custom-made prescription filled. A small portion of the pharmacy is now for selling common plants and cut flowers at high prices. Bad news: The front shelves in the customer area are not well-stocked. They are horribly bad at calling people to let them know about prescription refills, problems with them, and auto-refilling pharmacies, although they offer these services. Certain products are not kept in good supply, so you may wait hours or days to get what you need, like lactase. Many times, even when I called in 30 minutes to several hours beforehand to fill my prescription, I was still forced to wait up to 30 minutes when I went to pick it up, and a few times it wasn't even available but they didn't call to tell me. The convenience of their location was outweighed by the problems I had with getting prescriptions filled, and they are more expensive than other local pharmacies. I really am disappointed, and I had hoped they would improve after giving them feedback and many months to resolve these issues...
Cannot say enough good things about this place. Simply outstanding and caring. Pharmacist caught a mistake in a prescription made by a nurse practitioner and refused to fill the medication. Called doctor to get alternate medicine. So so grateful.
After having significant troubles with a medication and dealing with large chain pharmacys, it was wonderful to have a kind compassionate pharmacist like I had at Milford Pharmacy. He answered my questions without looking at me like I was stupid and treated me with dignity. I can't communicate how much I truly appreciate that.
Absolutely the best pharmacy that I have ever had to deal with. With my medical background I need people who cared. They do.
