New City Halsted Pharmacy

After more nearly two years of sending scripts there, the pharmacist tells me that they’ll be filling my prescription one last time. They (very angrily) asked me to send it to another pharmacy because “your insurance doesn’t reimburse us enough as other patient insurances do” (Aetna /cvs) I was shocked. Small businesses demand more business and yet then turn you away because it’s not enough. I’ve never been turned away from a pharmacy before. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you aren’t getting your prescriptions filled right away, they seem to be filling the ones where they claim more reimbursement from.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this pharmacy from the outstanding customer service to the excellent pharmacy staff! I live more than an hour away and have plenty in my area so that should tell you what a great pharmacy this is! I also just recently found out they deliver.. BONUS!! Even if they did it, I would make that drive every month! They are that good! They went out of their way to be sure got the best bang for my buck with my savings card. I refuse to go to the chains anymore. Thank you NEW CITY HALSTED pharmacy for making my life easy and experience unmatched!

I love it here! I am so glad there is a local pharmacy near me. I have never actually asked a pharmacist for help understanding my medication until I started coming here. Elliot is super helpful and I love getting to chit chat with him. There is a woman with curly hair who has been SO helpful so many times including when I thought I needed an rx moved to New City from walgreens but it turns out I had picked it up and forgotten (embarrassing!). She also helped me understand an rx I was nervous about and is always so friendly and fun.

This pharmacy is amazing and completely changes the game for any pharmacy experience you could ever have. Not only do they offer delivery services for your prescriptions (which is my favorite part and the best perk in my opinion), and include a little personal touch in your deliveries and throw in a little candy which always makes my day, but the staff here really go above and beyond for their customers. They're so kind, and when I recently called in a prescription, they called me right away to ask me for my updated insurance. I explained my situation to them, and let them know that I was recently laid off and might not have insurance for a while, and they were completely empathetic to my situation and helped me come up with solutions on how I could get my prescription at a cheaper price. I mean - what other pharmacy truly cares like that?! I will recommend this pharmacy to everyone I know in the Chicago area. Amazing business and staff that truly cares about their customers!
