Family Integrative Medicine

I scheduled a free consultation with Family Integrative Medicine after recently moving to Florida and searching for a new provider. While booking the appointment, I clearly explained to the staff member that I have multiple autoimmune diagnoses, require medication management, and wanted to discuss IV therapy and other treatment options. I was assured the consultation would be appropriate for my needs. Within two minutes of speaking with the provider, I was told I was “too young” to have the diagnoses I’ve received over the past two years (I’m 34). Instead of reviewing my history or asking thoughtful questions, she repeatedly dismissed my conditions and stated that their practice does not prescribe any medications. She insisted I should “just focus on gut health,” despite my explaining that I already actively manage my gut health alongside medically necessary treatment. It felt dismissive and invalidating to have my documented medical history minimized without any discussion of prior lab work or specialist evaluations. If the practice does not manage autoimmune conditions requiring medication, that should be clearly communicated before booking appointments. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and talked down to. I would not recommend this practice, especially for patients seeking comprehensive autoimmune care.

Have been suffering with pain constant the last 6 months. First visit, ibwas given some relief. Staff is very informative and friendly. So obvious they care. They made me feel hopeful that there would be a solution and relief. So grateful.

I have been to many communities care facilities for the VA. In a short period of time I have noticed improvements in my treatment plan. Dr. Maria is extremely professional and dedicated to helping her patients. The manual therapy is instructed by Dr. Maria where to concentrate and they all do a excellent job. All staff addresses you very professionally and greet you with a warm smile! That is what makes a difference between being handled like a client vs taken care of like a person patient. I want to thank all staff for a tremendous opportunity to share my experience and gratitude.

I’m so grateful that I’ve found this office! I’ve had nothing short than the best treatment with acupuncture and massage. I would recommend this office to anyone. The staff is fabulous, the doctors are the best and to top it off…massage is awesome! My profession keeps me in knots and pain, and these guys help me weekly. SM

Best treatment above all others. My acupuncture Doctors have been very attentive and preform wonderful treatments. My massage therapists Sarah, Theresa, Jimmy, and others have made my weekly therapy something to look forward to and give me the relief I need. The front office staff is about as professional as they come. So polite and attentive. They always call and text to remind me of my up coming appointments without fail. The are able to juggle appointments when there are conflict, without any fuss at all. I highly recommend them as an alternative treatment. Chinese medicine is tried and true. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.
