Ken's Sunflower Pharmacy

I have never seen anything like this pharmacy before. This place has real heart and soul and represents “community” in the truest sense. The pharmacist and staff greet their customers by name as they walk in, ask after their families, know their histories, enjoy chatting & clearly genuinely care about their patients - all while being incredibly quick & efficient at filling scripts. Ken and his staff are helpful, kind and never seem put out to answer questions. Everyone I’ve seen come through the doors is happy to be there and engage with the staff. The vibe of this place is wonderful. It’s a whole other world compared to the miserable experience of chain pharmacies. No one should go to a CVS, Walgreens or Walmart when we could support independent pharmacies run by real people who actually care and want to be part of their community. Five stars for Ken and his team!

Ken, Trent, and the entire team are what make this pharmacy great! Seriously, you do not know the true definition of exceptional customer service and satisfaction until you meet this team! If you anticipate problems with a prior authorization (P.A.), fret no more. In fact, any issues are handled swiftly and seamlessly; the customer is none the wiser. They manage everything: insurance juggling, as well as necessary communication with nurses and doctors. There are absolutely no customer hassles here! I trust this team completely. The "box" pharmacies are all about mass transactions, where you are simply a number in their system. You would think this approach means they would be fast. It is actually the exact opposite for the customer. They handle so many transactions daily that personalized care is impossible. Do those "box" pharmacies check all of your allergies or sensitivities? Do they warn you of potential side effects specific to your individuality? Do they confirm the nurse has filed and followed up on the P.A.? Do they have direct contact with the doctor for last-minute concerns, questions, clarifications, or requests? I know that the "box" pharmacies rarely have the time to do much of this with any accuracy or genuine concern. I am not remotely blaming the pharmacists at those locations—in fact, I met a great one in Bonner Springs who somehow makes the time to be amazing (likely against their corporate "more-is-more" attitude)—but it simply fails in comparison to Ken's team, through no fault of that individual pharmacist. On average, I used to wait five hours to receive medications from a "box" pharmacy after they were sent electronically. At Ken's Sunflower Pharmacy, you do not have to wait in your vehicle hoping they received your e-script, let alone twiddle your thumbs waiting for them to fill it. Those same e-scripts that took over five hours right after my doctor's appointment—and that's only if they had the meds in stock—take less than 30 minutes to fill at Ken's, that's including the 19-minute drive time directly from the doctor's office. (I am not exaggerating!) The Sunflower team is dedicated to helping their customers get what they need in a timely manner so they can go home, take care of themselves and their loved ones, and heal. After all, this customer is a patient right now. Thank you Ken, Trent and the team. I'll be seeing more of you in the near future. I look forward to learning all the rest of your names. Hands down, the best pharmacy i have ever been to. They are always chipper and in good spirits. Always quick and helpful. Never long times to wait. They are a gem and im very great full for them. They still have a sense of service that CVS and Walgreens will never have.

This is the best pharmacy I have been too. They really care, answer questions kindly and have great communication. I would highly recommend them.
