CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy

I am beyond frustrated with CareFirst. I order my medication earlier and earlier every time to try to avoid issues, and it still never seems to be early enough. It has been almost six weeks since my doctor ordered my refill, and no one has contacted me. When my doctor calls again, CareFirst asks the most ridiculous questions and promises they will contact me immediately. Ten days later, I still haven’t heard anything. As other reviewers have mentioned, it feels like they intentionally delay the process to push you into paying for express shipping. Everything about dealing with CareFirst is a hassle, and when you express even a little frustration, the staff responds with an attitude. Overall, it’s an incredibly disappointing and exhausting experience.

Shockingly terrible service. Beyond it taking weeks to even ship my script, it got hung up by UPS (not their fault). What was their fault was when I emailed repeatedly for a week to inquire about it obviously having been lost by UPS, they ignored me until I put in the subject line I would reverse the charge on my CC. Subsequently, I let them know in writing 3x that if the replacement was not going to be overnighted, I needed to give them a new address as we were leaving. The CSR kept replying with various info and each time I would let her know this. Despite this, she shipped it to arrive two day ground - the day after we left. Also super annoying that for 3 weeks after I placed my order and paid, they continued to send repeat reminders to “refill” a prescription I hadn’t even received in the first place leading me to be unsure if my order had actually been placed or not (leading to another phone call). Lastly, it was a lot of work for my doctor to get the script figured out with them in the first place and they required confirmations from her that I haven’t experienced in the past. As a side note, I am having issues with two separate prescriptions, ordered weeks apart, neither of which I have received and I will never use this pharmacy again.

I have been using this pharmacy for a good 4 years now, and I absolutely love it. The guys are great and I take about 14 meds a day, they all remember what I take haha!!! I live 3 hrs away, and I still drive to this specific pharmacy because they have rocked my chemo out with me and they make me feel at home!!!

I am still trying to wrap my mind around the level of customer service at this Pharmacy. They are local and they deliver! Normally same day (do better CVS). All of my meds are in the process of being transferred. I’m thankful to have found them

I am so impressed with this pharmacy and their customer service! After several frustrating experiences with big-name pharmacies (I'm talking about YOU Walgreens and CVS), I called them in desperation. I am pregnant and had been waiting on insulin for gestational diabetes for 2 weeks. They were able to get me taken care of within 24 hours and they were so kind and patient with me. I will be using them and referring to them moving forward!
