I’ve been with Companion Health for a year now and can’t say enough great things about their practice. Dr. Jorge, Anya and their staff are incredibly knowledgeable and treat their patients as individuals. It’s not a one size fits all solution, but rather understanding what’s going with you personally and working to identify the root issue of whats going on. The focus on prevention and wellness and building good habits regarding diet and exercise and sleep has been life changing for me and my family. The health coaches are wonderful, and even a year in, I’m still learning so much from my monthly meeting with my health coach. I’m healthier, happier, have a lot more energy and understand my body much better than before joining Companion Health - and can’t thank them enough for that. The experience I have had at Companion Health is like nothing I have ever experienced before with a doctors office, especially with a primary care doctor. Every single staff member including Dr. Jorge is friendly, smiling, nice and non judgmental. They all listen, really listen to what you are saying and take their time to go over things with you. You are not rushed out due to another patient waiting. I like the approach of traditional medicine meeting functional medicine and taking meds when needed but also not pushing a dozen prescriptions on you when you might not really need them. Dr. Jorge takes the time and really digs deeper into your individual health for your individual needs. Its is definitely not the kind of practice that says “just lose weight and you will feel better and this will resolve…. See you in 6 months.” The team at Companion Health really works to figure out why your body is or isn’t responding to certain things and how to get you working better and feeling well. Also, when you aren’t feeling so well you get immediate care. No waiting on a triage nurse to call you back or email you, at Companion Health, Dr. Jorge reaches out to you directly very fast.
