After my local Rite Aid closed, I wanted to opt for a local pharmacy and avoid switching to giant eagle. I gave Schiller’s a chance for several months, and despite really wanting to stick with them and support a small business, I’ve had too many issues and headaches with them since day 1, and will stop using this pharmacy. Every month there has been a different issue getting a prescription filled - one month they didn’t receive it from the doctor even though it was sent over, or the auto-refill don’t work this month, or they tell me on the phone they have it ready for me in store only for me to come in and find out they are out of stock and have to wait for it to be delivered in 1-3 days. They also advertise free home delivery, which takes 3-4 days. However, they won’t refill your prescription until the day you run out of your previous month. This means you have to go 3-4 days without your meds waiting for the delivery. And they will not refill it 3-4 days in advance to allow for this delivery time (an issue I’ve never had in the last with other prescription delivery services). It’s a shame, as I really wanted to give this place a chance, but I absolutely do not recommend using this pharmacy
Schiller's Apothecary is outstanding for prices and customer service! They deliver and it is very fast too. Definitely my go-to for dermatology prescriptions. They deserve a rating higher than 5 stars!
Formerly 5 stars until without warning, they told me they can no longer fill controlled substances of any class. It seems like they lost their DEA license or something. I never had any issues with delivery, so if you just need a pharmacy to deliver your statins and hemorrhoid cream, these are your people. Sad to have to switch to a big box pharmacy.
It's a great, full service pharmacy with knowledgeable and helpful employees.
Edit: I'm quite frustrated that they advertise free delivery, but actually charge a service fee of $1 per prescription via the app NimbleRX. Even if you call them, they charge this fee. I don't understand why using the website costs money, when it saves them time These folks are great! Even for more obscure or brand name dermatology drugs, they'll find a way to get it for you cheap, with no effort on your part.
